Superior Brilliance for Printing - with METALURE® Aluminium Dispersions

METALURE® dispersions are micro-mirrors of mysterious brilliance, able to simulate the reflectivity and flash of foils, hot foil stamping and vacuum metallizing. Low pigment loadings and the absence of any surface lubricants help inks based on METALURE® dispersions achieve a high degree of film integrity, rub resistance and intercoat adhesion.

METALURE® offers a range of versatility for paper, board and packaging film applications. It elevates the capability of the print process to new heights of brilliance.

The METALURE® dispersions for water-based systems - called METALURE® W-types - contain 20% aluminium pigment and 80% solvent. They allow low V.O.C. water-based formulations. These W-types are not especially stabilised against corrosion and gassing in water-based formulations. However the right choice of suitable formulation components (e.g. binder, wetting agent etc.) and formulation parameters (e.g. pigment/binder ratio) allow the production of water-based inks using these METALURE® W-types.
